Our Story
Hurricane was built to meet the real data requirements of organisations operating at the sharp edge of global trade. From postal operators and carriers to retailers, marketplaces and advisors, our platform supports customers who cannot afford inconsistent decisions, manual workarounds or regulatory risk.
2016: Founded
An idea between 2 friends that became 6 friends building the company that is Hurricane today.
2017: First Release
2017 saw our first release of the snappily titled “Landed Cost and Compliance Engine” which would go on to become Aura. Providing classfication, landed cost and compliance screening.
2019-22: Evolution
Zephyr followed Aura in 2019, the first solution enabling automated one step HS6 and 8/10/11+ digit classification.
Kona launched in 2022, a single global trade API, allowing all required to be processed in a single call. Another world first.
2023-26 and on: Future
2026 sees Hurricane lauch two groundbreaking new products to the market. Global Assure is a web based portal giving full access to all Kona’s features, without the need to integrate.
